Jordan Reduction Solutions grinders/knife hogs are constructed with a high-speed, high-inertia design. The solid rotating cylinders are machined from either cast carbon or stainless steel, depending on your specifications. The staggered flying knife design reduces material by shaving rather than chopping, resulting in more uniform-sized particles. This often means less grinding time to reduce materials to the required size for further processing, transportation or discharge. The cutting action is smoother and produces the lowest vibration, shock and heat build-up of any machines in their class, with lower horsepower requirements.

Capacities range from 200 to 2,000 pounds per hour or more, depending on the material being reduced. The 13 and 14 series knife hogs are available in 14 models, with or without screens. Feed openings range from 10" by 11" to 20" by 54", and motors range from 50 HP to 500 HP. The 15 series knife hogs are used where tramp, foreign material may present a problem. They feature breakaway steel struts, which cause a hinged door to open whenever any foreign material enters the unit, allowing the material to escape and saving costly rebuilds.
